Special Issue on Advances in River Ice Science
This special issue highlights some recent developments in River Ice Science, the multidisciplinary field of research focusing on the development of a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics and interactions between the physical, climatic and ecological components of rivers exposed to ice processes.
The papers in this special issue illustrate the complexity of current research on nutrient fluxes on different scales. In the early 1990’s Horst Behrendt created the model MONERIS to calculate nutrient emissions into surface waters, in-stream retention and resulting loads. This issue is dedicated to his memory.
Combining the most powerful features of online reference works and review journals, this unique hybrid publication promotes cross-disciplinary discussion of energy technology, security and environmental impact.
WIREs Energy and Environment, launching Summer 2012, is an authoritative and encyclopaedic resource addressing key topics in this diverse field.
Your institute is entitled to COMPLIMENTARY ACCESS to WIREs Energy and Environment, which means you will be able to read the full-text of every article published in the 2012-2013 issues.
